A great time was had by all at NPE East! Attendees of the National Pavement Expo East raved about the training and events held in Nashville, held February 2 – 5, 2011. NAPSA members received free and discounted training sessions adding up to nearly $375 in savings on relevant industry specific topics.
Overall NPE workshop topics included technical skills, management, marketing, cost savings, best practices and more! The keynote speaker, Kraig Kramers presented an informational session entitled “The Profit Makers Toolchest” and then followed this with a highlighted session of more information for NAPSA Certified Sweeping Companies at the CSC luncheon. Kraig covered business issues such as Customer Care, Financial Soundness, Growth Creation, People Growth, Management Evolution, Goals & Feedback and finally Celebration & Fun. 11/30 - 12/3/11 Pavement LIVE Expo to Feature Live Demonstrations
After 10 years in Las Vegas, National Pavement Expo West is getting a new name, new location, and new program. Renamed Pavement LIVE, the four-day event on November 30 – December 3 is moving to San Diego’s Town and Country Resort & Conference Center. Along with the new location, the event is receiving a major overhaul to respond to contractors’ changing needs. Live outdoor equipment demonstrations and an extra day of conferences round out the changes to the event.
“Live demonstrations are an exciting element now possible at the San Diego venue,” said Amy Schwandt, publisher Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction.
Plans are underway to offer equipment demonstrations for sweeping, sealcoating, cracksealing, infrared repair, and pavement marking. Schwandt said milling, paving, and patching demonstrations are also a possibility.
Adding an extra day to the event makes room for eight additional workshops and seminars, increasing the total number of educational sessions to 39. Conference topics center around enabling contractors to diversify services, learn advanced techniques, increase sales, and manage their business. In addition to the live demonstrations and conferences, top companies will display equipment, tools, products, and services in the exhibit hall.
